About WRO RES program

Depending on the changing collaborations and sources of financial support, WRO Art Center offers various residency and internship opportunities to international artists, curators and students working in the field of media art. Our programs have – so far – included a few dozens of persons, whose works were later presented, among others, at the successive editions of the WRO Biennale and have been circulating at the renowned international media art exhibitions and festivals.

We have been developing our residential program together with different public and private bodies. In the recent years, we have collaborated with the Goethe-Institut in Cracow, the C. Rockefeller Center for the Contemporary Arts in Dresden, the A-i-R Wro program within the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016, the Austrian Cultural Forum in Warsaw, the Gaude Polonia scholarship program and the Erasmus+ and Creative Europe programs. As a specialized place for student traineeships, we have become a partner for a consortium of four universities from Denmark, Austria, Poland and Hong Kong within the Erasmus Mundus joint master degree international program Media Arts Cultures.

The current residency call is aimed at artists and curators based in Austria.
